Description

A team of two to four persons are needed to equip health care workers who need in-service training to work more effectively to deliver rehabilitation and physical therapy to special needs children being served by the Lutheran Mission in the Dominican Republic and their partners.

Desired Results

As a result of this project, Dominican special needs children will have on-going rehabilitation and therapy. Dominican leaders chosen for this special program will be equipped and feel competent adn confident in serving Dominican people with special needs.

Skills Needed

A team of three to six people. At least two persons on the team should have experience and a degree in physical therapy, ideally with people who have disabilities. At least one person on the team with good Spanish language skills. At least one person on the team with a background in social work or working with disable people. All members of the team should have a strong faith-walk and be recommended by their pastor(s).
