Description

A team of two to four persons are needed to equip several women leaders to work with the Dominican Mothers' Association (MANIDI) to work effectively with mothers of special needs children being served by the Lutheran Mission in the Dominican Republic and their partners.

Desired Results

As a result of this project, Dominican mothers of special needs children will have on-going instruction adn care to better work with their special needs children. Dominican leaders chosen for this special program will be equipped and feel competent and confident in serving Dominican mothers of children with special needs.

Skills Needed

A team of three to six people, at least one person on team with good Spanish language skills. At least one person on the team with a background in social work or working with disabled people. At least one member of the team with a background in Christian education. All members of the team should have a strong faith-walk and be recommended by their pastor(s).
